According to Pars Oil and Gas Company, Alireza Ebadi stated that gas production from the 37 operational platforms of South Pars was going on favorably and according to the plans, adding: “Considering the role of natural gas in the macroeconomic management of the country and the commitment of Pars Oil and Gas Company in providing 70% of the increasing demand for gas, especially in the cold season, we were able to go beyond the approved plan of the National Iranian Oil Company in recent days, with more than 100% of the required gas recovery.”

The official further noted that production of gas from the field stood at an average of 682 mcm in the month of Azar (the ninth month in the Iranian calendar which ends on December 21).
