Iran seeking broad, balanced cooperation with all countries

TEHRAN (Shana) -- President-elect Ebrahim Raeisi announced his plan to pursue broad and balanced cooperation with all countries of the world, and said: "Any negotiation in which national interests are guaranteed will definitely be supported, but we will not tie the economic situation of the people to the negotiations.”

According to Shana correspondent, Seyyed Ibrahim Raeisi in his first press conference after winning the 13th presidential election, which was held this afternoon (Monday, June 21) in the presence of a large number of domestic and foreign media representatives, said: " We will pursue a broad and balanced cooperation with all countries in the world, but we will not tie the economic situation of the people to these negotiations, and by emphasizing outcome-orientation, we will not allow erosive negotiations to take place.”

He said that the foreign policy of his administration would not start from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and would not be limited to it, adding: "The United States has an obligation to lift all the sanctions, what is repeatedly emphasized in this administration and the future administration, is the lifting of sanctions and its verification.”

The President-elect also called on the United States to live up to its commitments regarding the JCPOA.
