Speaking on the sidelines of the 25th Iran Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, Abdullah Ahmadi told Shana that 20 storage tanks with 500,000 barrel of capacity are being built in the Jask, of which four will come online by June.
He stated that all the tanks would become operational by the end of the next calendar year to March 20, 2022. In the early operation phase of this strategic plan, 2 million barrels and in the first phase, 10 million barrels of storage capacity will be built.
The project manager of crude oil storage tanks in the Goreh-Jask project noted that a significant percentage of the parts used in this project are domestically built, adding the tanks of this project are being built under a BOT contract, meaning in the next 15 years, all the tanks will be owned by the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).
