According to the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), Mohammad Ali Azhdari, caretaker of the developing project of North Yaran Oilfield, said that the pump was installed in Well No. 4 of the field last month.

The pump adds 1,000 barrels per day of crude oil to the field's output, he said.

Azhdari said the pump’s performance was being monitored around the clock.

The field is located 130 km off western Ahvaz in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.
