Iran Progress Continuing despite Sanctions: Rouhani

TEHRAN (Shana) -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the country’s progress had continued despite the sanctions and economic difficulties.

Addressing the people in the southern city of Kangan on Sunday, the president said his administration had launched several major energy projects in the current calendar year (began on March 21, 2018), indicating the fact that Iran’s progress would continue despite the sanctions and other economic hardships.

He said his administration would remain beside the people in the current difficult economic situation, and said: “All the major projects, including the largest gas condensate refinery, and a total production of 50 million liters of gasoline per day, were made possible in the current [calendar] year.”

Rouhani said inauguration of Hormuzgan Refinery with a daily production capacity of 14 million liters of gasoline and the Bandar Abbas Gas Condensate Refinery (also called the Persian Gulf Star Refinery) with 36 ml/d of gasoline production capacity, had added 50 ml/d of gasoline to the country’s production capacity.
