Given increased gas production from various phases of the supergiant South Pars gas field, the required feedstock consumed by petrochemical plants would be supplied during winter without any limitations, said Ghodratollah Farajpour, director of production control at NPC.
In the previous winters, numerous petrochemical facilities were forced to stop production due to feedstock shortages, but this year, “there will be no restrictions in feedstock supply in the petrochemical industry,” he said.
The supply of ethane needed for petrochemical complexes this year has improved dramatically from last year, he added.
