Iran's Zangeneh Offers Condolences to Venezuela for Death of Former Petroleum Minister

TEHRAN (Shana) -- Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh sent a letter to Manuel Salvador Quevedo Fernandez, the People’s Minister of Petroleum and President of Petroleum of Venezuela S.A., to express grief over the demise of Dr. Alirio Parra, the former Minister of Energy and Mines of Venezuela and President of the OPEC Conference.

The following is Mr. Zangeneh's letter to the Venezuelan official:

Excellency,

I have been just informed by the OPEC Secretariat of the sad news of the sorrowful passing away of late Dr. Alirio Parra, the former Minister of Energy and Mines of Venezuela and President of the OPEC Conference.

On behalf of the government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I would like to express my condolences to Your Excellency, his mournful family and the noble people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on this sad occasion.

     I am confident that his sincere services will be always commemorated in our Organization and we pray to the God Almighty that his soul will rest in everlasting peace.
