NIOPDC Joins Knowledge-Based Firm to Curb Fuel Smuggling

TEHRAN, May 30 (Shana) -- The Urmia offshoot of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) has joined a domestic knowledge-based company for production of fuel detectors used for curbing smuggling of fuel in border regions.

 

Ahad Mojarrad, director of the Urmia offshoot of NIOPDC, said the device was designed and fully developed by Pouyan Kavosh Co. in Iran. 

He said device is being piloted in a border stations for detecting hidden fuel cargoes in vehicles. 

Mojarrad said it can also find hidden tanks in cars and dramatically reduce human flaws in inspection of crossing vehicles.
