Iran, Russia Sign 23-Point MoU

TEHRAN, Dec 13 (Shana) – Iran-Russia energy committee ended on Monday by signing a 22-point oil Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Signatories to the MoU, signed in the wake of the Iran-Russia working group session, were Deputy Minister of Petroleum Amir-Hossein Zamaninia and Russian Deputy Energy Minister  Molodtsov Kirill.

The 20 points of the deal concern mutual cooperation in oil, gas, refinery and petrochemicals and the three other points for cooperation in energy. 

Cooperation in exploration and extraction, drilling and development of wells, development of oil fields, reserving and transfer of gas, petrochemical swap operations, conduction of research on supply of petrochemical products, technology and introduction of the opportunities available in the petrochemical sector and joint investment, manufacture of oil equipment through help of Iranian manufacturers and technology transfer in refinery sector are provisions of the MoU.
