Zanganeh: Manufacturers to Be Supported after Sanctions

TEHRAN, Aug 29 (Shana) – Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh says domestic manufacturers will be supported in the post-sanction era.

Addressing a group of oil industry senior directors, Zanganeh said lifting of sanctions can be taken as both threat and opportunity. "Threat can be import of foreign-made goods. Taking sanctions lifting as an opportunity, it should be said that companies active in manufacture of oil equipment, that were empowered by sanctions, will be active in the competitive atmosphere."

He said Iranian manufacturers should trust the self as companies in Khouzestan Province can produce all equipment and pieces of a refinery, except machinery.

He told manufacturers of oil industry equipment in Khouzestan province that they should not target Iranian market only, rather they should try to produce high quality goods for the neighbors so that their goods be competitive with the foreign-made ones.
