Head of the Oil Pipeline and Telecommunications Company in Khouzestan region Abbass Mir told Shana that officials responsible for checking the Abadan region had detected a leakage in the oil pipeline and were quick to remove it.
Mir said the officials were on a mission in the area when noticed an oil smell and used a small light to remove it at night.
He added that the leakage had been caused by corrosion.
