Veep: Govt. Policy Based on Avoiding Crude Sales

TEHRAN, July 19 (Shana) – The First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said on Tuesday that government's main policy is based on avoiding selling materials in crude form and production of high value-added products.

Speaking on the sidelines of an inspection tour to the ammonia and urea project of Shohadaye Marvdasht on Tuesday, Jahangiri said one of the main advantages of the country is its being rich in oil and gas resources, so main policies of government is based on avoiding selling materials in crude form and caring for production of high value-added materials.

He said to this end, the petrochemical industries is one of the important industries of the country and can move national economy.
 
He added that the ammonia and urea unit of Shohadaye Marvdasht is an important project commissioned at a cost of 550 million euros plus 4,000 billion rials.
