Over 97.1bn Barrels Insitu Oil Reserves

TEHRAN, July 03 (Shana) – Managing Director of Iran Continental Shelf Company Saeed Hafezi said on Saturday that his company's initial insitu oil reserves were more than 97.1 billion barrels in the Iranian year 1393 (2014-15).

Hafezi told Shana that his company's insitu reserves were 96.7 billion and 97.1 billion barrels in 2013 and 2014 respectively and the figure is expected to amount to 100 billion barrels when new fields are discovered and comprehensive studies on fields over recent years are complete.

He said his company's insitu gas reserves were also more than 185 trillion cubic feet in 2014.

To the end of his remarks, Hafezi said last year, his company's project for production was met by 97.2 percent and a total of 144 million barrels of crude were produced in Iran continental shelf oil fields, showing logical change compared to the production level in 2014.
