Speaking at the introduction ceremony for Saeid Davaripour, the company’s new acting director of public relations, Saeid Tavakoli said public relations plays a key role in strengthening organizational unity and fostering cooperation among employees.
He said appointing a successor to the late Mohammad Asgari, the company’s former public relations chief, was a difficult task given Asgari’s professional and personal qualities.
Tavakoli said the National Iranian Gas Company has a distinctive organizational culture and goes beyond being a conventional company.
“It is not just a culture; it has a civilization of its own,” he said, adding that anyone joining the company must become familiar with its operations, business and unique requirements.
He said the public relations department, which oversees a large number of events and programs, helps bring employees together and promotes cooperation and solidarity.
“Although our colleagues have different characteristics, what stands out in this group is solidarity and cooperation,” Tavakoli said.
He thanked public relations staff for their efforts and stressed the need for greater coordination as the industry prepares for the coming months.
“We have a difficult winter ahead, and without solidarity, cooperation and coordination, we will not be able to get through it,” he said, adding that the department has significant potential to improve its performance.
Tavakoli also paid tribute to Asgari, saying his sincerity, generosity and wholehearted commitment made him an influential figure wherever he worked.
