Kermanshah Oil Refinery Upgrading Units

TEHRAN June 10(Shana)--Implementation of an upgrading project at Kermanshah oil refinery will raise daily oil refining capacity of the refinery by 20 thousand barrels per day in the next four years.

In statements to Shana, managing director of Kermanshah oil refinery Seyyed Mohammad Jamshidi said the refinery has started a preliminary study in order to increase its processing capacity from 20 thousand barrels per day to 40 barrels per day and at the same time to upgrade the quality of its produced gasoline compatible with eruo-4 and eruo-5 specifications.

He said as much as 446.5 million dollars will be invested in the project which will include investment in upgrading refining, utility and side units of the refinery.

After the completion of the project, Kermanshah oil refinery will earn annually 100 million dollars as profit which is satisfactory for investment in oil industry, he said.

According to him, of 446.5 million dollars of the invested finances, 341.5 million dollars is going to be invested in refining units.
