Fuel Oil Saved for Exports

TEHRAN August 2 (Shana)--Iran has saved 600 million liters of fuel oil for exports through efficient energy use policy in power plants, managing-director of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company said.

Mostafa Kashkouli said the 600 million liters were delivered to exports terminals in southern Iran as more gas has been delivered to power plants.
“Due to this significant development, gas oil imports into the country have been avoided,” he said.
Kashkouli said replacement of liquid fuel with gas in power plants can save the country hard currency.
