Parliament backs Oil Ministry in rebuilding damaged energy facilities

SHANA (Tehran) – An Iranian lawmaker said Parliament will support the Oil Ministry in rebuilding energy infrastructure damaged during the third imposed war, praising the ministry’s management of fuel supply and energy production during the conflict.

Jahanbakhsh Qalavand, a member of Parliament representing Andimeshk, commended the Oil Ministry for maintaining stable supplies of liquid fuel and natural gas despite wartime conditions.

“The oil industry stands on the front line of revenue generation for the country and carries a heavy responsibility in fulfilling this mission,” he said.

Qalavand added that the Oil Ministry’s management and planning ensured there were no disruptions in oil production, exports, or nationwide fuel distribution during the conflict.

He noted that wartime fuel distribution can create major challenges and even crises for countries, but said the ministry successfully prevented shortages and maintained stability across the supply chain.

The lawmaker also stressed that Parliament would stand alongside the Oil Ministry in efforts to restore damaged oil facilities and would provide any necessary support to accelerate reconstruction efforts.
