Coordination taskforce meets on supplying raw materials for downstream industries

SHANA (Tehran) - A coordination taskforce meeting on supplying raw materials for downstream industries was held with the aim of aligning procurement efforts, attended by Hassan Abbaszadeh, deputy oil minister and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company.

According to the National Petrochemical Company, it was decided that part of the domestic demand for petrochemical products used as feedstock in downstream industries will be met through imports, given current conditions.
To support these industries, a task force was formed to coordinate and facilitate the import process. The group includes representatives from the Central Bank of Iran, the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, the National Petrochemical Company, and the Petrochemical Industry Employers Association. It was agreed that the capacity and capabilities of petrochemical companies will be utilized to import materials to meet domestic demand.
The taskforce, led by the National Petrochemical Company, will continue to meet regularly to monitor the supply of domestic needs.
