The National Petrochemical Company said in a statement that following an attack earlier today on part of the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone in Mahshahr, safety, firefighting, rescue and operations teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. Emergency response measures were initiated, and the fire has been brought under control.
According to the statement:
“Early this morning (Saturday, April 4), the US-Israeli enemy, continuing its actions, attacked part of the auxiliary facilities of the petrochemical zone in Mahshahr.
Safety, firefighting, rescue and operations teams were immediately present at the scene and began necessary measures to manage the emergency. The fire has been contained.
The situation is currently under control, and technical assessments and the extent of the damage are under review.
Based on decisions by the emergency command committee of the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone, conditions are being managed, and families of employees should not be concerned.
Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.
