Oil Transfer Capacity in Kermanshah to Hit 95,000 Barrels

TEHRAN -- Following construction of an oil pumping station in Bardasebi region of Lorestan province, the capacity for transferring oil and its products in Tang-e Fanni-Kermanshah pipeline will increase to 95,000 barrels.

Official in charge of the project told Petroenergy Information Network that Tang-e Fanni-Kermanshah pipeline supplied crude oil needed by Kermanshah refinery and oil products for Kermanshah region through pump stations at Tang-e Fanni and Afarineh. Reza Sharifiyan added that the current capacity of the pipeline was 40,000 barrels per day, which was 24,000 barrels before construction of the 16-inch pipeline from Tang-e Fanni to Afarineh. "Construction of the pipeline will obviate traffic of 420 tankers per day for fuel transport purposes," he noted. Sharifiyan stated that saving from the project would make up for the costs incurred for the construction of Bardasebi pumping station.
