SHANA (Tehran) – The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and the Presidential Department of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up a strategic artificial intelligence (AI) center to digitalize 15 oil and gas fields and a contract to master the technology for drilling long multilateral horizontal wells by using homegrown rotary steerable systems (RSS) in the presence of NIOC Managing Director Mohsen Khojastehmehr and department chief Rouhollah Dehqan Firouzabadi in Tehran on November 14, 2023.
