Call to revive production, remove barriers at Abadan Petrochemical Company

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company underscored the need to remove existing obstacles and revive production at the Abadan Petrochemical Company to meet downstream industry demand and strengthen the petrochemical value chain.

According to the National Petrochemical Co., Hassan Abbaszadeh said Wednesday during a visit to the Abadan complex that restoring production at the facility — which supports downstream sectors and contributes to value creation and industrial growth — must be pursued seriously.

He praised the efforts of the plant’s employees and specialists, noting that Abadan Petrochemical’s products play a role in completing the industry’s value chain. Downstream companies, he added, have long awaited the resumption of production at the complex.

Oil Ministry Supports Production Expansion

Abbaszadeh said the Oil Ministry’s policies consistently emphasize value creation, expanding the value chain and boosting efficiency. Returning Abadan Petrochemical to full production is an important step toward meeting these goals, he said.

“All efforts are aimed at boosting production, removing barriers and stabilizing employment in the region,” he added.

According to the report, managers at the Abadan Petrochemical complex presented an overview of operations and production during the visit.
