Abadan petrochemical production resumes

SHANA (Tehran) – The utility and PVC units of the Abadan Petrochemical Complex have resumed production after resolving operational challenges.

Following a year-long production halt, Abadan Petrochemical has restarted operations thanks to effective management strategies and persistent efforts. The focus on identifying and addressing production bottlenecks has enabled the gradual revival of the complex's units.

The successful restart of Unit 200 (utility unit), a key infrastructure component, paved the way for other production units to resume operations. In a significant step, Unit 700B (PVC production) has also officially begun operations. This achievement stems from the round-the-clock dedication of the complex’s skilled and committed workforce, whose reliance on domestic expertise made this success possible.

This milestone reflects the determined efforts of Abadan Petrochemical’s management and employees to restore the industrial complex’s production capacity, raising hopes for the imminent return of all units to full operation.

The resumption of production is significant not only for the company but also for Iran’s petrochemical industry, proving once again that unity and perseverance can overcome even the toughest challenges, breathing new life into the sector.
