Enjoying the international quality standard, the unit came on stream through investing 65 million euros with the aim of protecting the environment and meeting the country’s need by producing 1.2 million tons of strategic products.

According to Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC), the launching and exploiting contracts of the HDS (sweetening of pentane plus) strategic unit were awarded to PGPIC experts.

The unit will produce raw materials for jet fuel meeting the international quality standard and protect the environment by reducing the level of sulfur in pentane plus from 4,000 ppm to below 1 ppm, saving millions of dollars spent for it.
