Referring to the acceleration of the process of completing important and strategic projects, especially the development of joint fields, Mohsen Khojastehmehr said: “These days and on the eve of winter, the maximum volume of operations in the South Pars joint field for gas production is being implemented.”
According to NIOC, Khojastehmehr said on Sunday: “On the eve of winter, with the efforts of colleagues and servants in NIOC, more than 1 billion cubic meters of gas is produced daily and there is maximum preparation for the people across Iran to enjoy relative peace this winter.”
He clarified: “The NIOC employees are always on duty and during these days and in the 13th administration, the activities are at their highest level in terms of volume and value.”
“One of our most important priorities is the maximum production and rapid development of all joint oil and gas fields,” he said.
Oil Production in Esfand and Sivand Fields
Stating that a number of EPD and EPC projects are in the operational phase, Khojastehmehr said: “Last week, production from the Esfand and Sivand fields started with a daily figure of 16,000 barrels, and we are ready for their official operation.”
He emphasized that several other projects in this sector will be officially put into operation in February.
The NIOC CEO, pointing out that the operations in the Bilal field are being carried out at a fast pace, said: “Regarding the Kish field, our operational and executive plan is to produce 28 million cubic meters of gas from this field.”
The official stated that these days we are witnessing the maximum volume of operations in the South Pars joint gas field, and continued: “A valuable experience in the country was achieved last week and one of the largest gas platforms in South Pars was delivered with maximum precision. This 4,000-ton platform will soon be installed at the B11 position, and it is a symbol of a unique work at NIOC.”
Phase 11 Gas Production to Start Soon
Pointing out that several operations are underway in Asaluyeh and the Persian Gulf, he added: “Drilling of four wells in the phase 11 development plan of the South Pars joint gas field is in the final stage; the project’s offshore pipeline has been completed and gas recovery will begin soon from phase 11.”
Regarding the ongoing operations in the phase 13 development plan, he said the operation of platform 13A in South Pars has been started with the transfer of a rig in the past few days, and the additional operations in the phase 14 development plan have also been started and the work is being pursued with momentum.
He added that the South Pars gas field maintenance program is also on the agenda, and in this context, acid work of 400 wells in South Pars will be implemented.
The NIOC CEO said: “Drilling 70 wells in South Pars Field is one of our priority programs at the National Iranian Oil Company.”
