Ilam Gas Refinery Output

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of Ilam Gas Refining Company announced a 150% increase in ethane output and an 83% growth in crude liquefied petroleum gas output of the plants in the first two months of the current calendar year, which began on March 21 compared to the same period last year.

Abdul Rahman Keshvari, the Deputy for Passive Defense Energy, during his visit to Ilam Gas Refinery, appreciated the measures taken by this industrial unit in the field of passive defense, and said: “In the current situation, the issue of energy has become the Achilles heel of the world, and given the efforts of the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially the daily threats of the US and the Zionist regime, we must be more vigilant and identify all possible ways to hit infrastructure and have a plan for them.”

He stated that we should move from traditional plans to knowledge-based ones, stating: "Plans should be such that all factors of active and passive defense are seen in it in a comprehensive way, and in this regard, the basic plan is being prepared.

Ruhollah Nourian, the CEO of Ilam Gas Refining Company, also announced the growth of production in the past few years and the last two months, and said: “In the last two months, production of ethane gas has increased by 150% and crude liquefied gas by 83% compared to the same period last year.”

He said that Ilam Gas Refinery is the only supplier of gas in the west of the country and Ilam Petrochemical Plant is fed by this refinery, so it is of strategic importance for the region.

"Despite the growth and stability of production, we have more than 5 million hours of accident-free operation, which shows compliance with safety rules and regulations."
