APG Collection Project Starts in Cheshmeh Khosh

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The director of production at the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company announced the start of executive operation of the project to collect associated petroleum gases (APG) at the Cheshmeh Khosh oil field in the Ilam province, western Iran.

According to the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company, Ahmad Rajabi said: "This company, in line with the grand plans of the Ministry of Petroleum and the National Iranian Oil Company to accelerate implementation of environmental protection plans and reduction of biological pollutants, aims to collect flared gases. In this regard, the company outsourced the collection of APG of the Cheshmeh Khosh oil field to a domestic company late last year, which will collect 67 million cubic feet per day of the gases in a matter of six months.”

“According to the schedule and given the readiness of the compressors in the contractor company's plant, it is expected that by the beginning of October this year, the gas condensate collection and extraction unit of the project will be commissioned. The plan will generate about $5 million a year for the company,” he said.

Cheshmeh Khosh Oil Field is located 52 km from Dehloran County, Ilam Province.
