Ruhollah Nourian stated ethane is one of the valuable products of Ilam Gas Refinery, which was considered as the petrochemical feedstock of Ilam Petrochemical Plant in the initial design.

He added ethane is one of the five products of Ilam Gas Refinery, which is fed to Ilam Petrochemical Plant for production of more value-added items.

The CEO of Ilam Gas Refining Company stated that this item is sent to other petrochemical plants via a 12-kilometer pipeline. The installed capacity of Ilam Gas Refinery in the first phase is 330,000 cubic meters per day of ethane and in the second phase, 550,000 cubic meters per day.
