KPC Launches Second Ethylene Production Phase

TEHRAN, July 12 (Shana) – Kavian Petrochemical Corporation (KPC) has started injecting ethylene produced at its phase II development to the West Ethylene Pipeline to provide more feedstock for petrochemical plants along its path.

Ramezan Oladi, managing director of KPC, issued a statement on the day thanking all those staff and experts involved in completion of the phase which would make up for feedstock shortages in many of the plants along West Ethylene Pipeline.

West Ethylene Pipeline, under way from Assaluyeh in southern Iran to Tabriz is 2,450 kilometers long. It would feed a number of petrochemical plants on this route.

It has the capacity to carry 3.5 million tons of ethylene.
