President praises Oil Ministry for maintaining energy services

SHANA (Tehran) – President Masoud Pezeshkian commended Iran's oil minister and the country's oil and gas industry for maintaining energy production, exports and public services despite recent challenges.

Speaking at a cabinet meeting Wednesday, Pezeshkian said recent agreements and understandings had produced significant economic and trade gains, according to the presidential office. He said the country had sustained oil exports, eased some financial and foreign exchange constraints, and created new opportunities to expand economic cooperation.

The president praised the Ministry of Oil for its efforts to boost production, sustain exports and develop energy infrastructure. He said those measures, together with the electricity sector's performance, helped ensure energy services continued with minimal disruption despite damage and pressures stemming from recent conditions.

Pezeshkian also thanked Foreign Minister, the speaker of Parliament and other relevant officials for their roles in advancing negotiations and addressing regional and international issues.

He said the combined efforts were aimed at safeguarding Iran's national interests, reducing tensions and strengthening the country's regional and international standing.
