Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company appoints new CEO

SHANA (Tehran) — The board of directors of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company has appointed Hassan Abbaszadeh as the new chief executive officer of the holding company, replacing Mohammad Shariatmadari.

The appointment was approved during a board meeting on Tuesday, according to the company.

At the conclusion of the meeting, board members expressed their appreciation for Shariatmadari’s efforts and contributions during his tenure as CEO of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries holding.

Before taking on his new role, Abbaszadeh served as Iran’s deputy oil minister and managing director of the National Petrochemical Company.
