Saudi Arabia produced 6.768 million barrels per day (bpd), while Iran followed with 2.854 million bpd, ranking first and second among OPEC members, respectively.
OPEC’s 12 member states collectively produced 18.983 million bpd in April, down 1.727 million bpd from March levels, the report said.

Iran’s crude production declined by 211,000 bpd in April. The country’s average oil output stood at 3.263 million bpd in 2025, compared with 3.257 million bpd in 2024.
Oil production by OPEC+ allies reached 14.207 million bpd in April, slightly down from 14.219 million bpd in March. Kazakhstan recorded the largest monthly increase among the group, raising output by 115,000 bpd.
Combined crude production by OPEC and its allies fell to 33.19 million bpd in April from 34.929 million bpd in March, reflecting a total decline of 1.738 million bpd.

The report also showed a sharp decline in Iranian heavy crude prices. Iran’s heavy crude averaged $103.10 per barrel in April, down $21 from March’s $124.10 per barrel. However, the average price for Iranian heavy crude in 2025 stood at $75.41 per barrel.
OPEC’s basket price averaged $108.79 per barrel in April, a decrease of $7.57 compared with March.
Looking ahead, OPEC forecast global oil demand to rise by 1.35 million bpd in 2027, bringing total worldwide demand to an estimated 107.87 million bpd.
