MOGPC Realizes Output Plan in H1

TEHRAN (Shana) -- Maroon Oil and Gas Production Company (MOGPC) realized its planned production of crude oil, rich gas and naphtha in the first half of the current calendar year, which began on March 21.

According to the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), Hamid Kavian, the CEO of MOGPC, said in the oil production sector, the company achieved 101 percent of production of the planned output during the period while 101% of the planed rich gas and 102.5 percent of the planned naphtha was produced by the company during the first half of the year.

He added: “With the implementation of projects related to development, workover and repair wells, a positive production result of 6.1 thousand barrels per day has been achieved.”

The CEO of MOGPC further noted that since March through September this year, the amount of gas flared in operational facilities had reduced by 50%, adding more than 98% of desalination wastewater was injected into disposal wells and by using mobile oil separators (MOS) and Mobile Oil Treaters (MOT) a total of 57,000 barrels of oil were recycled, which is a major environmental step in the company’s activities.
