TEHRAN (Shana) -- Iran has launched several refining projects which have raised the country's Euro-5 gasoil output.

Inauguration of such projects has always been stressed upon by Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh in order to fulfill citizenship rights and observing environmental principles, said Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining & Distribution Company (NIORDC) Alireza Sadighabadi.

According to NIORDC, Mr. Zanganeh's special attention to environmental issues as well as social responsibility of corporations in oil industry was pretty instrumental in materialization of the projects.

Sadighabadi said Tabriz Refinery produces 6 million liters per day of Euro-5 gasoil, Isfahan Refinery 16 million liters/day, and Bandar Abbas Refinery supplies 12 million liters per day of gasoil with Euro-5 qualities.

The official further stated that implementation of projects to improve the quality of gasoil in the refineries of Tabriz, Isfahan and Bandar Abbas is marked as some of the major achievements of the Rouhani Administration in this field of petroleum refining.
