PGPIC Plans 45mt/y Output by 2021

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC) says the company was planning to bring its annual production capacity to 45 million tons by 2021.

Speaking to NIPNA, Jafar Rabiei said: "In the future, we will witness the production and export of various value added products and downstream petrochemical industries."

He also said that companies operating in the petrochemical industry should also plan for the future of production and presence in international markets.

Rabiei said PGPIC, enjoying the support of the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum, had planned to step in upstream petroleum projects in order to secure feedstock stop for its subsidiaries.

He further said Ilam Olefin Project as well as Bidboland Plant were expected to come on-stream or enter pre-commissioning stage by the end of the current calendar year to March 20 2019.

Moreover, Lordegan and Hengam uread and ammonia projects would also become operations during the remaining months of the current Iranian calendar, the official added.
