Phase II of Persian Gulf Star Refinery Operational Next Spring: President

TEHRAN, Feb. 28 (Shana) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the second phase development of the Bandar Abbas Gas Condensate Refinery (also called Persian Gulf Star Refinery) will come one-stream by spring 2018.

The president said the southern province of Hormuzgan, where the refinery is located, will soon be supplying 36 million liters of gasoline, 14 million liters of gasoline and 3 million liters of jet fuel, adding the second phase of the refinery will come online next spring.

Dr. Hassan Rouhani, today (Wednesday, February 28, 2018), told a  gathering of Bandar Abbas citizens that all the countries of the region can, in light of the peace and power of the Iranian people, think of a great alliance for economics, energy and tourism.

He said Iran will launch a massive oil export terminal in Jask by 2020 which will transform Iran's crude oil exports.

Iran has launched 15 major projects with an estimated value of IRR40,000b in the province during the president's visit.

He said that part of the resources needed to start the third phase of the Persian Gulf Star Refinery will be provided by the National Development Fund of Iran, adding, "Now, 12 million liters of gasoline per day is being produced at the Persian Gulf Star Refinery and the process of development of the refinery will continue."
