New record set in gas withdrawal from Shourijeh Storage Facility

TEHRAN, Feb. 28 (Shana) – Iran set a new record in the amount of the gas withdrawn from Shourijeh Gas Storage Facility by recovering 14 million cubic meters per day during winter.

According to the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), the managing director of Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refining Company said his company relies on Shourijeh facility to control gas supply in northeastern Iran.

During winter, the company recovered 14 mcm/day of gas from the storage facility, which is a new record, Seyyed Majid Monbeti said.

 

Processing more than 11 bcm of gas since March

Monbeti further added that the refinery processed 11.33 bcm of natural gas over the course of the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21, which is compatible with the company's production plan for the year.

The company also produced 524,000 tons of sulfur at during the period, up 2% from the same period last year, he added.
