RIPI signs Gas Deal with French Partner

TEHRAN, Dec. 13 (Shana) -- The Research Center of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) has signed a deal with France's Beicip-Franlab for bolstering cooperation in holding studies on Iran's Homa gas field.

From RIPI, Touraj Behrouz, head of the faculty of reservoir studies and developing fields, signed the contract.

He said RIPI has signed the contract with the French partner for carrying out studies on the field as an order by the Iran Central Oil Fields Company.

He said the French company enjoy experiences in upstream projects and international authority in the field and can contribute a lot in development of the field.

Beicip-Franlab S.A. provides consulting services and software solutions to the oil and gas industry in France and internationally.

The company’s consulting and advisory services include geological, geophysical, and geochemical studies; reservoir simulation, reservoir optimization, and engineering studies; integrated oil and gas field studies; specific studies addressing various skills and technologies, such as seismic reservoir characterization, modeling of fractured reservoirs, basin modeling, and prospect evaluation; economics, strategy, and contracts; reserves and asset evaluation; and refining and downstream activities.
