5-Month South Pars Condensate Export up 18% Y/Y

TEHRAN, Sep. 03 (Shana) -- Export of the gas condensate produced at the supergiant South Pars Gas Field rose by 18% in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21 from the same period last year.

Managing Director of South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC) Masoud Hassani said the company exported over 91 million barrels of the item during the five months.

He said the field's condensate output rose by 13% year-on-year during the period and stood at 86.67 mb.

Hassani said production of all the items supplied by SPGC, where South Pars refineries and land facilities are located, rose during the mentioned period.

Production of sweet gas stood at 54.99 mcm which is 16% higher than the same period last year.

Moreover, ethane output rose by 28% and grew from 886.3 thousand tons to 1.132m tons after the period.

Propane production, he added, rose to 850,000 tons and butane production grew to 350,000 tons.

Sulfur output also saw a rise and crossed 219.328 thousand tons.
