Consortium of Iran Firms to Develop Two SP. 11 Platforms

TEHRAN, Aug. 09 (Shana) -- A consortium of Iranian companies will jointly build and install two offshore platforms of phase 11 project at the supergiant South Pars Gas Field.

Head of the energy committee of Tehran Chamber of Commerce Industries Mines and Agriculture Reza Padidar said the consortium will be led by the Iranian Petroleum Industries Equipment Manufacturers Association.

He said five companies active in manufacturing oil industry items and parts have been included in the consortium.

Last week, a preliminary meeting of members of the consortium was held, he added.

Padidiar said tapping domestic potentialities for completion of SP. 11 project development has been included in the deal National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) signed with Total and CNPCI in July.

He said construction of the platforms will need an estimated $100m of finances.
