Isfahan Depot Launches VRU

TEHRAN, Aug 06 (Shana) – Martyr Montazeri fuel storage depot in Isfahan Province, central Iran, launched its vapor recovery unit with the cooperation of Italy's Kappa Gi on Saturday.

The project was officially inaugurated in a ceremony held on Saturday in the presence of senior petroleum officials. 

The unit prevents emission of 9,000 cubic meters of gasoline vapor per day and therefore saves 13,500 liters/d of gasoline will be recovered. 

Now that the unit is operational, loading of petrol will be carried out by using advanced top loading (ATL) mechanism at the depot which prevents vaporization of gas at the facility.  

The inventory is equipped with 59 storage tanks which can store over 1.6 billion liters, the biggest storage capacity in Iran, of all kinds of oil derivatives including gasoline, light fuel oil, naphtha and gasoil.
