Ejeie: Zanjani Not Yet Depositing any Cash

TEHRAN, July 26 (Shana) – Judiciary Spokesman Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei says oil tycoon Babak Zanjani has not deposited any cash in Judiciary account over charges and nobody has yet admitted any responsibility in that connection.

Ejeie told the 99th press briefing session on Zanjani that the billionaire had on different occasions announced he had certain properties and his assets in banks of certain countries – at least four countries – have not been substantiated.

He noted that some of his partners had laid the condition that Judiciary should promise to set Zanjani free after debt settlement.

“We will give the promise if the bank will provide guarantee for payment of the cash.”

Ali-Akbar Mahrokhzadeh, the Legal Affairs Department Director of National Iranian Oil Company, had already told Shana that collection of the oil industry are still seeking their money from Zanjani and to this end correspondences had been made with banks of China and Tajikistan.

He said despite Zanjani’s failure to meet his repeated promises in the past two and half years, “we are not still hopeless and will spare no efforts to receive the debt to the NIOC.”
