Value of SACE Services in Iran near €2.5b

TEHRAN, July 23 (Shana) – A senior official with Italy's SACE export credit agency says the value of the agency's services in Iran have reached 2.5 billion Euros.

Addressing an investment commission session at the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Marco Frioli, director of the Middle East and North Africa department of SACE, in Tehran on Thursday, said the Italian major insurance company's services were only €1b before Iranian President Hassan Rouhani signed a deal with the company in Rome which more than doubled its services in Iran.

He said the company charges for interest on the loans it offers its clients and given less pricy loans than commercial loans and petrochemical, oil and gas industries are the main sectors SACE offers insurance coverage.

The SACE official said the company offers various instruments for middle-sized and large businesses and has defined insurance policies compatible with the economic structure of the countries where industrial uدits are operating.
