Refinery Exports all Q1 LPG Output

TEHRAN, June 29 (Shana) -- Fajr Jam Gas Refinery exported all of the natural gas it processed into liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) during the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20.

Speaking to Shana, Managing Director of the refinery Hadi Hashemzadeh Farhang said the facility processed 1,300 tons of LPG during the period which was completed exported.

"LPG is one of the refinery's most valued products and inauguration of two sections of a major LPG project at the refinery is one of its outstanding achievements in recent years," he added. 

The official said the project is defined in three phases with the first phase being online with 4 storage units each with 350 tons of LPG and loading mechanism. 

The second phase concerns de-ethanization and LPG towers as well as the related converters which are now online and supplied 45,000 tons of LPG last year.

He said the third phase of the project is ready for startup and once operation it will increase the refinery's LPG output dramatically.

Feb by the gas recovered from gas field in Nar, Assalouyeh and Kangan regions, the refinery processed over 5 bcm of gas in spring.

Fajr Jam Gas Refinery is Iran's second biggest gas refinery which accounts for 15% of Iran's need for gas.
