Iran Euro-4 Petrol Output at 25ml

TEHRAN, June 14 (Shana) – Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said Euro-4 petrol is being distributed in 7 major cities of Iran and production of the item has reached 25 million liters in the country.

Addressing the Iranian parliament on Tuesday morning, Zangeneh said production of substandard items has stopped under the Rouhani administration.

He said Iran's Euro-4 gasoline output stood at 1.2 ml/d since Iranian President Hassan Rouhani took office in the calendar year 1392 (March 21 2013- March 20 2014).

"In the refining sector, our first priority was development of Persian Gulf Start Refinery, the biggest gas condensates refinery in Iran with a daily capacity of 360,000 barrels/day and we hope its first phase will come on-stream by the end of the current calendar year [to March 19 2017]," the official added.

Once the first phase of the refinery is online, Iran will no longer have to import gasoline and will start exporting the item, he added.

Zangeneh also said development of Anahita Refinery in western province of Kermanshah and Pars Refinery in the southern city of Shiraz are other priorities for the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum.

"We are hopeful that by lifting of the sanctions, the problems concerning financing of these projects will be solved," he added.

He also said that Iran is developing 8 mini-refineries in Siraf region for processing gas condensate.

"By the time these 8 refineries are operational in the next 4 years, Iran will have no gas condensates for export," the top energy official said.

By then, he said, Iran will be recovering a million barrels of gas condensate from South Pars phases every day.
