Refinery Treats More Gas

TEHRAN Dec 21 (Shana)--Fajr Jam gas refinery processed 19.7 mcm of gas during first the eight months of the current calendar year, up 2.4 mcm year-on-year, the refinery’s manager said.

Iranian calendar year starts on March 21.

Hadi Hashemzadeh Farhang said the facility produced 6.7 million barrels of gas condensate during the same period, adding that it was higher than the 6.1 million barrels produced last year.

During the same period of time last year, he said, 7,400 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was produced. The LPG production increased to 15,000 tons this year.

Farhang said the refinery’s gas refining capacity will reach 330 mcm/year in three years.

The refinery, which is located in the easternmost part of the province of Bushehr in southern Iran, has the capacity to process 125 mcm/d of gas.
