Gas Company Conducts 200 Researches

TEHRAN Dec 17 (Shana)--Bidboland Gas Refining Company has conducted more than 200 research studies in cooperation with academic and industrial centers, of which 150 projects have been done by students, managing director of the company Alimohammad Pourreza said.

Speaking on the occasion of Research Week, Pourreza said some of the company's achievements in recent year including being selected as a superior research body by NIGC, studying the assessment of damages resulting from corrosion at gas refineries, offering methods for reducing costs by the company as the superior project in 2013, institutionalizing research activities through creating research workshops and cooperation with more than 60 experts from oil industry.

According to the official, the company has tried to boost cooperation between oil industry and scientific centers through setting up a research unit in the company and replacing traditional methods of research by knowledge-based ones.

Upgrading technologies, promoting control systems, boosting capabilities for designing and engineering, setting up new units including aد SRU unit in cooperation with Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) and research division of NIGC, reducing pollution projects and risk management projects are among plans which are either on the agenda or have been executed by the company, managing director of Bidboland Gas Refining Company told Shana.
