Refinery Incinerator Generates Heat

TEHRAN Dec 15 (Shana)--The incinerator of the sulfur recovery unit of Hasheminejad gas refinery can produce 130 tons per hour of heat, saving the company 65 mcm of fuel, the refinery’s manager said.

Nasser Eslami said this project avoids emission of 120,000 tons a year of greenhouse gases.

“This project is currently under study and we hope that we would be able to generate 130 tons of heat per hour,” he said.

Hasheminejad refinery is located 180 kilometers northeast of the holy city of Mashhad in northeastern Iran. It produces natural gas, sulfur, gas liquid and distillate products.
