INSO Approves the Quality of Gasoline

TEHRAN Oct 29 (Shana)--Head of the Iranian National Standards Organization (INSO) head, Nairreh Pirouzbakht, announced that examinations conducted by the organization show that various kinds of gasoline the country imports including regular, premium and what is called ‘eruo-4 gasoline’ face no problem in view of quality.

Speaking at a press conference, Pirouzbakht said the organization has been testing samples of gasoline since two years ago and so far has found no problem with them.

She added: "Even though Iranian calendar year 1391’s budget law has tasked Petroleum Ministry with supervision on the quality of both imported and domestically produced gasoline, it does not bar Iranian National Standards Organization from "exerting its supervisory duties.

Head of INSO noted that the organization not only has launched an advanced laboratory in Bandar Abbas since two weeks ago to check the quality of imported gasoline, it has taken other initiatives for monitoring the quality of imported gasoline including mechanisms for checking the quality through supervisory firms abroad, before the gasoline enters the country for distribution”, she said.

According to Pirouzbakht, INSO sends a copy of all of its reports on the quality of gasoline distributed across the country to Article 90 Commission of the parliament to take a final decision on the issue.
