Iran Refinery Supplied Domestically

TEHRAN Oct 20 (Shana)--Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refinery gets 80 percent of its needed chemicals from domestic producers, the refinery’s managing-director said.

“By identifying domestic producers in the exhibitions,...this company procures its needed mechanical equipment and chemicals from inside the country,” Nasser Elsami said.
He added that the procurement of chemicals is highly sensitive due to the direct connection between these chemicals and production sustainability.
“Given the sensitivity of chemicals, as long as we are not assured about them in the lab tests, pilot tests and operational tests we will not allow them to be used in refineries,” he said.
The refinery fed 6.1 bcm of gas into gas trunklines during the first half of the current calendar year which started on March 21. During the same period, the facility produced 328,000 barrels of gas condensate.
